A weigh and scan center is conveniently located in our waiting room. We help and encourage all owners to scan their pet's microchip at well-checks. We recommend that every pet be weighed to ensure accurate calculations for medications and to make recommendations for optimal weight.

Premium Pet Foods

Surprisingly, only four manufacturers of pet foods actually conduct nutritional research to prepare their diets. Countryside is proud to feed, recommend and provide for you three of those brands- Hill's Science Diet and Prescrition Diets, Royal Canin Prescrition and Veterinary Exclusive Diets, and selected Purina Diets.

Our veterinarinas keep a well-stocked pharmacy and carefully select only the most effective and safest pharmaceuticals available for your pets's needs. Manufacturers only guarantee their products if purchased from your veterinarian. The manufacturers also provide rebates to help lower costs to be competitive or lower than on-line pharmacies.

Laboratory

Our state-of-the-art in-house laboratory allows rapid results of CBC's, Chemistries, thyroids, cortisols, urinalysis, cytologies, fecals, etc to quickly and accurately diagnose your pet's urgent condition. Appropriate treatment can begin stat! We also send out labwork to one of several reliable laboratories for further diagnostic testing.

Treatment

Our spacious Treatment room is the busy hub of the hospital. Post surgery patients, and hospitalized patients reside here in comfortable quarters under the supervision of the veterinarians and registered veterinary technicians. Dental procedures and ultrasound imaging also occer in this area. The radiology and surgical suites branch fron this central location.

ICU

Patients, needing medical treatment or recovering from surgery, reside in our intensive care area with supervision from our veterinarians and registered veterinary technicians. They may require intravenous fluids, heating pads, EKG monitoring, frequent walks, observation, blood test monitoring, or further testing.

This is a comfortable work space for registered technicians to review patient records and protocols and prepare dismissal information for patients ready to go home!

Surgical Prep

The surgical prep area is designed for cleaning and autoclaving surgical equipment. The sterile equipment is then placed into the specially designed pass through cabinetry directly into the surgery suite.

To ensure safety during surgery the following protocols and safety measures are taken at Countryside Veterinary Clinic: *A complete review of hisory *A comprehensive pre-anesthetic exam *Pre-anesthetic bloodwork *Intravenous catheter and fluids if indicated *The safest anesthetic choices *Intubation and gas anesthesia *Monitoring via EKG and oxygen levels in the blood *Constant monitoring of the heartrate, respiration and depth of anesthesia by a registered technician.

Countryside Veternary Clinic began digital radiology as soon as it became available. This cutting edge technology produces images of the highest quality to enhance diagnostic capabilities. It also decreases radiation exposure to the patient and our technicians!

Dog Boarding

For guests staying overnight, we offer boarding in our new runs. Each run is homey with a glass door, a sleeping shelf with blanket and a wallpaper mural. We feed Science Diet Sensitive Stomach and walk each dog 4 times daily. Complementary baths are offered to every dog that stays a week or more consecutively. Your pet is overseen by our veterinary staff in case of any emergency situation while boarding.

Cat Boarding

Every feline enjoys condo living while staying at Countryside Veterinary Clinic. Each bi-level condo boasts a separate litter and sleeping area and unlimited access to other condos if space permits!

Lounge

Our lounge is a fun place to eat lunch together, or to hold our monthly team building meetings. Each month we invite a guest speaker to come and educate or train our staff on the latest in veterinary medicine, team building or client service. Often there will be cards or freshly baked treats on the table from the staff or clients. Ymmm!

Self-Service Dog Wash

We also created a separate entrance for our dog wash costumers to come in and bathe their own pets! The tub, towels, shampoo, conditioner, nail trimmers, breath spray, ear cleaner and cologne are there for your use. There's also an after-the-bath treat for you pet! Relax, have fun and we'll clean up the mess!
