Doctor
Dr. Carroll Thumel

Dr. Carroll Thumel graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. He and Dr. Soverns co-founded Countryside Veterinary Clinic in 1988. Countryside Veterinary Clinic quickly grew to become one of the largest practices in Howard County. Dr. Thumel's main areas of interest in veterinary medicine include surgery, ultrasound, oncology and challenging medical cases. |

Dr. Mary Beth Soverns

Dr. Mary Beth Soverns graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. She and Dr. Thumel co-founded Countryside Veterinary Clinic in 1988. Her main areas of interest include, internal medicine, dermatology and ultrasound. She also serves as the secretary of the Howard County Veterinary Medical Association, provides a Business Partner Relationship with the Howard County public school system, and is on the board of the Emergency Animal Hospital of Howard County.

Dr. Heather Schwedt

Dr. Heather Schwedt graduated from Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. She has an interest in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery and likes to emphasize client communication and preventative medicine. In her free time she enjoys competitive running, and entomology. She also tries to stay one step ahead of the mischevious antics of her dog Riff-Raff and cats Phantom and Coco Moe. |

Dr. Kim Webster

Dr. Webster graduated from Virginia Tech in 2006.Her interests include anesthesia pain management and surgery. She has three cats, Hobbes, Goblin, and Floyd, and a Basset Hound named Remy. |

Dr. Lori Watson
| Dr. Lori Watson graduated the University of Florida in 2007. She has a dog, Sebastian, and a cat, Mama Kitty. Her interests include internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, and dermatology. She enjoys horseback riding in her free time. |

Management
Blaire Blaire has been working at Countryside since September of 2002. She is a graduate of Virginia Tech and is currently serving as the hospital manager. Blaire is always full of spirit and fun. She has a dog named Lacy. |  View |
Technician
Rebekah , RVT

Rebekah graduated from the AVMA accredited tech program at Fairmont State College in Fairmont, West Virginia in 1996. She has clinical experience in exotic animals, large animals, and emergency veterinary medicine. Her expertise in anesthesia, technical skills, and ultrasound are a great asset to the clinic. She has an extensive history with horses and showing and breeding dogs. She has been a member of the Countryside staff since 2000. |

Kathie , RVT

Kathie received her veterinary technician degree from Essex Community College in 1997. We are proud to have Kathie as part of the Countryside team since 1996. Her professional interests include ultrasonography, laboratory work, as well as hands on care of medical cases. |

Danielle , RVT

Danielle began working at Countryside Veterinary Clinic in 2000 as a receptionist. After having graduated from CCBC Essex with her degree, she is currently working as a registered technician. She is an asset to our clinic and enjoys being a part of all aspects of patient care at our hospital. In her free time she enjoys playing with her dogs Orlaugh and Muddy. |

Vanessa
| Vanessa is currently serving as our front office manager at Countryside. She is also a licenced EMT for the state of Maryland and enjoys volunteering for them in her free time. She also loves spending time at home with her beagle, Shiloh, and her new kitten, Rags. |

Kelly
| Kelly's smiling face has greeted clients as they have entered our front doors since 2007. Her compassion for people and animals shines through as she answers phones, set up appointments and assists the clients in any way that she can. She is also a licenced Esthetician with the state of Maryland. She and her son love to do anything pertaining to the outdoors. She has a Cockapoo named Tenner. |

| Katie has been a wonderful receptionist since July of 2006. She has been a client at Countryside for over 10 years! She is currently attending Catonsville Community College majoring in Interior Design. Her family has recently aquired two golden retriever puppies full of wags and kisses!! |

| Emily has been working with us since July '08. She is currently attending school for nursing along with raising her pitt bull puppy, Bandit, and his older brother, Bailey, a labrador mix. |

Kelley | Kelley has been working at Countryside since July'08. She is currently going to school to become an Art teacher. She has two crazy cats and two even crazier dogs! |  View |
Debbie Debbie's smiling face has been seen mostly on Saturdays and summer mornings since 2006, She has been a happy client here for many years prior to that. She is a part time receptionist and also works full time in the school system. She keeps herself busy by keeping after her twins Lauren and Alex, and her two dogs and cats.
Grooming

Carol has been grooming dogs and cats for over 8 years with training in Colorado feline shows and in Maryland facilities. We are lucky to have someone as wonderful as Carol to make our best friends look beautiful! |

Beth has been a veterinary assistant at Countryside since March 2006. Before coming to Countryside Beth worked in a veterinary emergency clinic. She is currently enrolled in school studying to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She spends her free time with her miniature poodle, Molly, and her cat, Peso. |

Joanna She has been here at Countryside sine July 2007. She is a proud mommy of a 4 year old little boy, and is currently going to school to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She is also certified in Canine Massage Therapy.
Heath
Heath is currently attending Goucher College and playinging on their lacrosse team. He enjoys learning about veterinary medicine and hopes to follow his parent's footsteps in becoming a veterinarian. |

Lauren Lauren has been working at Countryside since February 2006. She is a part-time veterinary assistant attending Towson University. She is active in dance and spends her free time with her dogs, Noah and Pepper, and her cat, Jackson.
Brooke
| Brooke has been here with us at Countryside since July 2008. She is currently attending Catonsville Community College of Baltimore County and is interested in becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. She currently has four dogs and three birds keeping her busy. |

Nicole Nicole has been working here at Countryside with us since October 2007. She is currently in school and is interested in pursuing a career as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She has a dog named Skittles and a cat, Chloe.
