Our Services
All Services
BATHING Treat your pet to a luxurious bath. Our special, cleansing baths remove dirt, debris and that doggie pet odor – your pet will feel fresh and revitalized. If scratching is a problem, our medicated baths contain soothing agents that stop the itching. Services also include nail trim and ear cleaning. |
BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE | Behavioral problems are often more difficult to treat than medical illnesses. Our veterinarians will help to educate you about common behavioral disorders such as separation anxiety, aggression and inappropriate urination and defecation. A treatment regimen can then be implemented. |
BIRDS, REPTILES, RABBITS AND SMALL MAMMALS | Veterinary medicine for exotic pets is growing as the popularity of these animals increase. With better public education in health, nutritional and environmental management, all species have a greater chance for living longer and healthier lives. We employ staff veterinarians who possess experience in the care and treatments of exotics. |
BOARDING Pets are like our children – we feed, nurture and lavish attention on them. Our highly qualified kennel attendants do the same when you can't be there. |
CHEMOTHERAPY Chemotherapy is a special group of medications used to treat cancer in humans and animals. Certain types of cancer in animals can be treated with chemotherapy. Some cancers treatments result in complete remission while others slow down the progression of the disease allowing us more time with a terminally ill pet. Pets usually experience less side effects than humans. Our veterinarians and trained support staff use caution when administering these drugs and monitor the patients closely. Chemotherapy can be used safely and effectively in pets today in an effort to have our pets live a longer more comfortable life. |
DENTAL CARE Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. |
ENDOSCOPY | High-tech fiber optics permit direct visual examination and biopsies of your pet’s gastrointestinal system. This allows for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral, esophageal, stomach, colon and even upper intestinal tract disease. Foreign objects can also be removed without the need for surgery. |
FULLY STOCKED PHARMACY | We stock a wide range of the best veterinary pharmaceuticals in the animal healthcare field. We also work with local pharmacies to compound prescriptions for easier administration in your pet. Please call ahead so we can fill your prescription and have it ready when you come! |

LASERS Laser surgery is a minimally invasive alternative to traditional surgery. Lasers replace scalpels in many procedures, and are useful for a wide range of conditions, such as cysts and tumor removal, declaw surgery in the cat and delicate surgeries around the eyes. Laser procedures result in less pain, less bleeding and less swelling. This reduces the risk of infection and results in a quicker surgical recovery time. |
MICROCHIPPING
What is Microchipping?
Microchipping your pet provides lifelong identification that is safe and as easy as a vaccination. A small microchip, about the size of a grain of rice, is injected under your pet's skin. Each chip has a unique 10 digit code that must be registered with American Kennel Club's (AKC) Companion Animal Recovery program. When a lost or injured pet arrives at a shelter or veterinary clinic, a special hand held scanner is passed over the animal which reads the identification code on the chip. Companion Animal Recovery is then notified and they contact the pet's owners.
How do I get my pet microchipped?
Veterinarians microchip your pet during a regular appointment while the animal is awake. It is safe for pets of all ages- including puppies and kittens. The chip can be read anywhere in the United States, Canada and many other countries.

Our trained and certified staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active. We stock Science Diet pet foods and Hill's Prescription Diets. We carry, or special order, a variety of other special needs diets as well. |
PAIN MANAGEMENT Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care. We offer new non-steroidal anti-inflammotory drugs (NSAIDS) for acute and chronic pain and pain medications for post surgical pain. |
RADIOLOGY Radiographs – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate your pet's muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. Radiographs are taken at our hospital and processed in minutes.
If necessary, these same radiographs can be sent by telemedicine to a specialist and interpreted within 24 hours. |
SURGERY We offer the most advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened by history, physical exam, and ancillary blood tests. Anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Your pet will be monitored carefully while anesthetized with the assistance of an EKG and a pulse oximeter. Our staff is well trained in post-op recovery and pain management.
Our surgical services include, but are not limited to, ovariohysterectomy, neuters, soft tissue surgeries such as cystotomies, gastrotomies, thyroidectomies, splenectomies, and orthopedic surgeries such as fracture repair, cruciate surgeries, etc. |
ULTRASOUND What is Ultrasound?
Ultrasonic imaging has become an important diagnostic tool in veterinary medicine. Ultrasound images are produced by sound waves that bounce from a transducer to a tissue and back. It is a noninvasive procedure that allows us to visualize organs such as the kidneys, liver, heart, pancreas, adrenals, urinary bladder, and other structures. The animal is awake in either a standing or lying down position.
How can Ultrasound help my pet?
Echocardiography is ultrasound which is specific to the heart and helps us differentiate the various types of heart disease. This allows us to choose appropriate heart medications for treatment.
Abdominal ultrasound can detect pregnancies, urinary stones, prostatic disease, adrenal tumors, pancreatitis, liver, gastrointestinal and kidney diseases as well as many other conditions.
