About Us Countryside Veterinary Clinic was recently voted by the WASHINGTONIAN MAGAZINE as one of the top veterinary practices in Maryland! What an honor. Thank you to all of our clients for your continued support!!! We are committed to staying abreast of the latest veterinary knowledge by traveling across the country to attend the most current and respected meetings. We take pride in that we provide a full-service veterinary practice. We provide medical, dental, ultrasound, laser, oncology and advanced surgical care. We also provide grooming and boarding services for our clients. We feed, recommend and provide trusted pet foods and carefully researched and selected veterinary products. We promote responsible pet ownership and preventative health care. We serve our community through scout tours of our veterinary hospital, career days and high school mentor programs. Countryside Veterinary Clinic strives to offer excellence in veterinary care to Howard County, MD and surrounding areas. Surprisingly, only four manufacturers of pet foods actually conduct nutritional research to prepare their diets. Countryside is proud to feed, recommend and provide for you three of those brands- Hill's Science Diet and Prescrition Diets, Royal Canin Prescrition and Veterinary Exclusive Diets, and selected Purina Diets.

Our state-of-the-art in-house laboratory allows rapid results of CBC's, Chemistries, thyroids, cortisols, urinalysis, cytologies, fecals, etc to quickly and accurately diagnose your pet's urgent condition. Appropriate treatment can begin stat! We also send out labwork to one of several reliable laboratories for further diagnostic testing.

Our spacious Treatment room is the busy hub of the hospital. Post surgery patients, and hospitalized patients reside here in comfortable quarters under the supervision of the veterinarians and registered veterinary technicians. Dental procedures and ultrasound imaging also occer in this area. The radiology and surgical suites branch fron this central location.

Have we seen your cat lately?
Cats are naturally adept at hiding signs of illness. Therefore, annual exams are especially important for early diagnosis of health problems. The truth is, just like dogs, cats need regular veterinary care, including annual exams, vaccinations, bloodwork and dentals.
That's why Countryside Veterinary Clinic is participating in the "Have we seen your cat lately?tm"national awareness campaign and taking steps to raise awareness about the importance of regular veterinary care for cats. The top 5 most common illnesses in older cats seen at Countryside Veterinary Clinic include dental disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, renal disease and cancer. Please schedule a physical exam for your cat soon.
